The material and spiritual culture of the Sakha people has an ancient and rich history. One of them is the religious belief that a person has three souls.

Sakha people from the pagan depths of their history carried through the centuries the belief in three souls. According to the ideas of the Sakha people, the soul of each person has three forms:

🌱 the earth soul,

🌬 the air soul,

✨ and the mother soul (the main soul).

According to legend, the mother-soul lives in the back of the head and patronizes the procreation, may disappear for a while.

The earth soul is located in the spine and maintains the vitality and health of a person.

The third soul - the air soul is located in the heart in the form of a small insect and guards the strength of the spirit. The air soul can disappear when person is afraid of something.

To help the all three souls become stronger, Sakha people used to call on strong spirits of ancestors through shamans and placed their soul in a special talisman in the form of a little man with three sockets for the soul and wore it on their chest. The talisman protected from troubles, enemies and patronized good luck in everything.

According to Sakha people believes, a person who wears the soul of his ancestors in the talisman is invulnerable from all troubles and misfortunes.
